Indifference is a dissociation phenomenon. It points to an interruption of the flow of Essence, of life energy, in three possible fields:

On the Path of Courage, indifference means a lack of connection with the suffering of fellow humans, and we can ask the question: What has been so painful in this person’s own life, that causes the repression of every form of awareness of suffering, not only in his own life, but also in other human beings?

On the Path of Presence, indifference denies the possibility of experiencing love, tenderness and closeness to other people, and we can ask the question: Which loss of love and affection hurt this individual so deeply that he’s not able to reconnect and trust, sharing humanity’s ups and downs with other people?

On the Path of the Will, indifference means a disconnection from life’s purpose, the meaning of existence in this world, and we can ask the question: What was so discouraging in the person’s life, what was the perceived failure that was so traumatic that the individual lost the awareness of his divine direction and his capacity to follow that path?
